Dear Colleagues,

As you may recall, we sent a communication in May to announce the gradual transition of Hyperion Web reports to Power BI. We have been working with current Hyperion Web users to ensure that the order in which we develop the new reports is aligned with their business priorities and expectations. With support from the current users of the Hyperion Web reports, we have now completed design, development and testing of the reports for Release 1.

When will the new reports be available?

The new reports will be released to production on November 9, 2022. They are part of a new Power BI app titled “Legacy Financial Reporting.”

What will be different?

Our goal for this transition continues to be that the redeveloped reports work the same if not better in Power BI than they did in Hyperion Web. During Release 1 design and development, we made some changes to report names to make them more representative of their purpose and intended use:

Migration - Hyperion Web Phase 1 Report Names

We have updated the Power BI section of the Data Warehouse website to reflect the addition of the new reporting apps for Data Warehouse. We have also compiled a set of FAQs that provide additional information about this transition.

When will the Hyperion Web reports be discontinued?

We are planning for a transition period from November to mid-December to allow users to get comfortable using the new reports in Power BI. The following reports will be decommissioned as of December 16, 2022 and will no longer be available in Hyperion Web:

How will I get access?

If you are a current user of one or more of the Hyperion Web reports being transitioned to Power BI in this release, you will automatically have access to the new Power BI versions of the report(s).

Where can I get help/support?

Once the new reports are in production, we will use ServiceNow to log future issues and enhancement requests. Remember, even though PowerBI may be new and unfamiliar to you, you’re not alone. If you need help, click the Contact Us page on the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence website.
